| Glacier Story….how it
all began Living
in the south all my life in Houston, Austin, and South
Florida, I have always had a pool. The one thing that has
bothered me is that during the summer months my pool water
would become too warm to enjoy. Several years ago (while
lying on a float in a warm pool ) I was thinking there had
to be a better way or a solution to this problem. I could
not tell you how many times I cancelled swimming parties
or even laying out by the pool because the pool was too
hot, it was like taking a bath. And I'm sure everyone has
heard of this one, or has done it, throwing ice blocks in
the pool to cool it down quickly before a pool party only
finding out it was a waste of time and money. There absolutely
had to be a better option out there. So, I’d asked
around to find out what was offered in the pool industry
to overcome the “bath water” syndrome. Instead
of finding a product to help my family and me, it ended
up being a journey trying to actually find a solution to
this problem. I asked everyone in the industry…pool
builders, pool cleaners, pool supply companies. I started
contacting corporations…companies that developed and
manufactured pool equipment. Amazingly, what I found wasn’t
good enough or was ridiculously expensive. Heat pumps, aerators
and misters? That’s right, heat pumps to cool your
pool, units that use tons of energy to run and cost more
than most pool owners would choose to spend to cool down
their pools. I looked at waterfalls, fountains and all aerator
features out there, but found out they weren’t working
at all or enough to cool an average size pool. So, I decided
to invent a device that could cool my pool down fast, even
overnight, and not just my average pool but a 30, 40, or
even a 100 thousand gallon pool. I researched and experimented.
First, I wanted to find a technology that was affordable
for the average pool owner to purchase and secondly, make
it extremely efficient to run so the pool owner would and
could cool his pool down anytime he or she wanted too, quickly.
Then finally, after three years I found it! And with determination
we did it!
The Glacier Pool Cooler was
born. We finally designed a series of affordable pool chillers
for every situation that wouldn't be a strain on everyone's
pocketbook and give them refreshing comfortable summer swimming
for years to come. After reading this, if you find yourself
